今年はカレンダーを買いそびれていたところ、先週丸善行く機会があり、店頭のワゴンでカレンダーが安く売っていたのでガサゴソ漁ってみると、Trout of Northern Americaというカレンダーがあったのでゲト。北斎のカレンダーもあって、この手の日本のグラフィックに欧文のタイポグラフがバシっとキマると妙に格好良かったりして、こいつもゲト。2個あわせて600円ぐらいでした（笑。
Trout of Northern America は、毎月、魚のイラストが一枚に簡単な解説が付きます。生息地を示す地図があって、その月の東部と西部のハッチ・チャートが載っています。2月の東部のハッチチャートは以下の通りです。

Tiny Black Stonefly: Capnia, Allcapnia, and Nemoura species
Midge: Diptera species
Brown Winter Caddis: Dolophiodes distinctus

2月の魚は日本のヤマメに似た Arroyo la Sidra Trout です。もちろん私はこの魚のことをよくは知らないのですが、学名がOncorhynches mykiss subspeciesということですから、ニジマスの亜種ということになるのでしょうか？　メキシコに棲息するそうで、解説には次のように書いてあります。
